Set an image to exact centimeter dimensions at the right DPI so it prints at the correct physical size — free and processed in your browser.
Pixels vs. centimeters
Screens think in pixels; printers think in physical size and DPI (dots per inch). To print an image at an exact size in centimeters, you convert cm to pixels using the DPI you'll print at. The formula is: pixels = (cm ÷ 2.54) × DPI.
Choosing the right DPI
- 300 DPI — standard for sharp photo and document printing.
- 150 DPI — acceptable for large prints viewed from a distance.
- 72–96 DPI — for on-screen use only, not printing.
